The powerful and delicious peanut is honoured on September 13th on National Peanut Day.

The U.S. also grows most of the world’s peanuts sold for snacks, in addition to being a major exporter of peanuts to other countries around the globe.

The value of American peanut fields today exceeds $1 billion, making this a very successful industry. About half of this industry is made up of peanut butter, the other half being snack nuts and confections manufactured with peanuts.
